Delete your Keld account

Effective date: to be set at launch

Last updated: to be set at launch

Delete in the app (fastest)

Open Keld, go to Account → Delete account, and confirm. You need to be signed in; the confirmation step prevents accidental deletion. Once completed, deletion cannot be undone.

Delete by email request

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. We verify ownership of that address before deleting; we will not ask you to send identity documents for this.

What is deleted immediately

  • Your account and profile.
  • All trips, timeline items, notes, and costs.
  • All uploaded documents, including encrypted sensitive documents, and their stored files.
  • All Vault records and their encryption keys.
  • All forwarded-email data: stored messages, parsed drafts, and import history.
  • All in-app notifications and Keld's subscription-entitlement records.

What remains, briefly or by exception

  • Platform recovery snapshots (backups) age out within approximately 30 days of deletion.
  • A single deletion event that cannot be linked back to you is retained.
  • We may retain limited records where the law requires it or where needed to investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident.

Your forwarding address

Your private forwarding address is permanently retired when your account is deleted. It is never reassigned, and mail sent to it afterwards is rejected without being stored.

App-store subscriptions

When paid subscriptions exist: deleting your Keld account and data does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription; cancel it in your app-store account settings. Instructions will appear here when subscriptions launch.

Your data before you delete

Self-serve export is planned but not yet available. If you want a copy of your data first, contact [email protected] and we will fulfill it manually before you delete.
